Electrical discharge machining (EDM) handles precision work on hardened materials where traditional cutting tools struggle. It is the right process for urgent fixes, final operations on complex parts, and intricate detail work. We machine prototypes, small quantities, and complex metal parts, and our sweet spot is components under 12 inches.

We also operate a vintage 1950s ELOX machine equipped with a large tank to accommodate unusually large jobs that standard shops must turn away. We respond rapidly and apply creative problem-solving to every challenge for customers in the aerospace, automotive, marine, medical, energy, and military and defense industries.

Our Custom Cut heritage brought CNC milling and CNC turning capabilities to our Skokie facility. With EDM and CNC equipment under one roof, we handle wire cutting and milling requirements internally, which simplifies logistics for you. Our CNC team prepares parts before final EDM processing and also supports customers who need CNC machining on its own.

We also perform secondary operations, including deep hole drilling, tapping, threading, reaming, and reverse engineering, to support your project from start to finish. We machine components for metal stamping, extrusion, and injection molding applications.

Our quality department inspects parts throughout production and can provide inspection reports for your records. Inspection equipment includes:
Zeiss CNC Coordinate Measuring Machine: Verifies complex part geometries.
Optical Comparators: Checks fine surface details and profile tolerances.
